First impressions of And Another Thing…

Eoin Colfer is not Douglas Adams, although he tries to be.

What the hell is up with these “Guide Notes”? They’re everywhere! Adams had some occasional guide inserts, but at least they were introduced properly and not randomly in the middle of paragraphs.

So far Colfer has tried to emulate Adams’s method of leaving the reader in suspense by switching abruptly to different scenes but hasn’t pulled it off right yet.

I like this book a lot.
