Double standards of video games

There’s no reason video games should be targeted specifically over violent movies and books. There is NO difference. Forget about that interactivity stuff. There’s no concrete link between the interactive nature of games and aggressive behavior.

I could go see an R-rated movie where a man beats up a hooker. No problem. But when I play a game where I beat up a hooker, no way, that’s crossing the line…why is this? I don’t understand the freaking double standard. Do politicians honestly not realize this? Or are they just trying to garner up support for themselves the only way they know how–willy-nilly finger pointing?

Please try to wake up, government, and let us have our fun. I think we’ve sufficiently proven that we won’t inexplicably become murderers and whore-punchers.

I just noticed something now…these politicians are only mentioning that beating up hookers is wrong, not the hookers themselves. I believe we have another double standard here!
